The 2019 Jeep® Cherokee is available at six trim levels: Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Trailhawk®, Overland, and Trailhawk® Elite.
All trims are available with front-wheel drive (FWD) or as a 4x4, except for the Trailhawk® and Trailhawk® Elite, which are only available in the 4x4 configuration.
Powertrains & Performance
The 2019 Jeep® Cherokee is as powerful as it is capable. The Cherokee comes equipped with a standard 2.4-liter TigerShark® MultiAir® 2 engine that delivers 180 horsepower, 170 lb-ft of torque, and achieves 31 mpg on the highway.* This energetic, efficient engine translates to a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. The second engine option is the 3.2-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that boasts 271 horsepower, 239 lb-ft of torque. It can tow up to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped. Both of these engines come paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The last engine option is the 2.0-liter Turbo Engine that pumps out 270 horsepower and an impressive 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with the smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission and can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
Interior Design
The Jeep® Cherokee boasts bold, modern style inside and out. The interior of the Cherokee comfortably accommodates up to five passengers and offers available Nappa leather-trimmed seating and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Cherokee's intuitive control layout and state-of-the-art tech enhances the comfortable feel of the cabin. The Cherokee comes equipped with an advanced Uconnect® 4 infotainment system, which comes with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. You can also upgrade this system to include navigation capabilities.
Selec-Terrain® Terrain Management System
Want even more control over your vehicle's performance and handling? The available Selec-Terrain® Terrain Management System allows drivers to pick from a total of up to five different driving modes. These modes include Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand/Mud, and the available Rock mode. These modes coordinate 12 different driving systems to enhance the capability of the Jeep® Cherokee and make for a smoother, more reliable off-road driving experience, regardless of the terrain.
4x4 Systems
The 2019 Jeep® Cherokee offers three available 4x4 systems to drivers that are among the most versatile and innovative in the auto industry. The first system is the Jeep® Active Drive I 4x4 System - which features an advanced rear axle disconnect system to optimize efficiency - and a Selec-Terarin® Traction Management System - which allows you to traverse any terrain or slippery conditions with confidence. The second system is the Jeep® Active Duty II 4x4 System, which includes the same features as the Active Drive I 4x4 System, but adds a Low Mode and Neutral Mode for superior traction and towing. The last system is the Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 System. It incorporates all the features of the first two systems while adding a mechanical rear axle lock and selectable Rock Mode for even more off-road athleticism.
