Powertrains
There are two engines available on the 2019 Ram 1500. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque, a system that boosts torque while reducing fuel use, and it puts out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is standard on the first two trim levels.
The last three trims come standard with a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI®, which brings the performance up to 395 horsepower and an impressive 410 lb-ft of torque. The V8 also comes with optional eTorque, and thanks to a combination of new technology and a lower weight by 225 pounds, the Ram 1500 is more fuel-efficient than it's ever been.
Fuel-efficiency is just a bonus when it comes to the Ram 1500, though, which boasts best-in-class V8 towing power at 12,570 pounds as well as a 2,300-pound payload.
